Wohoooo!!! We are back, did you miss us??? Greetings childrens and welcome to another fun-filled week... Wed. 2/4 Ve vant to suck your blood into plastic bags... there’s a Blood Drive on Livingston at the LSC-CH from 10am- 5pm, so go give something of yourself to the needy. I would if i wasn’t feeble and weak from my illness, and if I didn’t lack the necesary body weight. And speaking of blood-shed, the Medium meeting takes place as usual at 9:30pm in Yorba Lounge, Tillett, Livingston Thurs. 2/5 The New Jersey Film Festival of Spring 1998 continues with “Great Expectations”, a fabulous film that won 2 out of 5 nominations at the Academy Awards. It’s playing at 7pm in Rm 024 (I have my psych class in there) Lorree Hall on Douglass. $5 to enter 21 to drink. Also on Douglass, MGSA presents a comedy play by Brisley Sheridan called “The Rivals”. It opens at 8pm in the New Theater and costs $20. And if you’re one of those lucky bastards that doesn’t have Friday classes and you feel like gettin’ the fuck outta Rutgers there’s a neato torpedo show at the Pipeline in Newark: Dog Eat Dog, Step Kings, Stem, and Point 4 Hope. $10, doors at 8pm. Fri. 2/6 It’s the first day of a five day weekend, wohoo!!! well not really but I can pretend cause the thought brings much joy to my heart. Cool stuff happening tonight. At 7pm in Scott Hall rm 123, on College Ave. The NJ Film Festival film- “Deep Crimpson” is playing. It’s an eloquent protrayal of blood and murder and stuff, it sounds cool. It’s in Spanish, subtitled and they charge $5 for the subtitles. Then there’s an Opera on Douglass called “The Turk in Italy” at 8pm at the Nicholas Music Center. ‘Course I’m not going to either of these things, being such a degenerate and all, but you wanna know where I AM going? Well I’m gonna tell you anyway: to a show at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park and...” It is Punnnkk....” the Bouncing Souls with Blank 77, and John Cougar Concentration Camp starting at 8pm weeee... Sat. 2/7 The “Deep Crimpson” movie is playing again same Battime same Batchannel, you know in case you had to miss it the first time cause you went to that kick-ass punk show instead. And The Nields are playing at Grace Norton Rogers School Theater, in Hightstown. I might consider going to that if it wasn’t so painfully close to someone I really don’t like, but anyway... it’s at 8pm $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Sun. 2/8 Get your booty over to the State Theater, in downtown New Brunswick, cause that’s where all the action is; if you can call it action, which I don’t think you really can but... At 1pm is the State Theater’s Children’s performance: “Dr. IWonder’s Science Circus”, and at 7pm are two NJ Film Festival films: “Career Girls” and “Shall We Dance?”, both about mid-life crisies of sorts, damage is $8. Mon. 2/9 nothing nothing nothing nothing NADA! Tues. 2/10 and this is the day you’ve been waiting for!!! well I’ve been waiting for it any way... Less Than Jake at the Wetlands in NYC, and even on a Tuesday it is so worth going. Naturally I’m going for free since I’ll be on the guest list (cause I’m just that cool) but the rest of you loosers will have to pay $10 bucks to see them, ha-ha! I am so there. K, Peace-out! Send me lots and lots of events PLEASE, and PEZ refills to crowangl@eden!!! Buh-Bye Back to the main page |
